A Little Girl with Big Dreams

Now that the 2010 is coming to a close, it's time to start thinking about the New Year and things to come!

Here's Mr. Larish & I at Christmas.

I've got some major plans & goals for 2011! I cannot wait to get started! I have just a few more custom bag orders to finish up & then I'll be ready to go!
*Just a reminder: If you are interested in an original custom made tracy larish bag, I'm taking those orders until January 15, 2011. So please visit my Etsy Shop for inquires! Also, I'll only be taking orders via Etsy.*

Here are a few goals of mine & things coming to tracy larish to look forward to in the coming year:

January (in just 1 more day! wow!) I'll be starting Project Restyle! This encourages everyone to bring life to unwanted, damaged or unusable vintage or previously used items to "ReStyle" and make it into something you'll love! It can be anything; shoes, clothing, accessories, home decor..etc. I'm really excited about this, because it will also be affordable (because you'll already have these things) and a really great way to become green! Each week you work on a project you would like to create, post it on your blog & post it on the, free to join, Flickr Group! This lasts 52 weeks! Project Restyle is the perfect way to bring in the New Year and start new and fresh! Anyone can join and you'll have fun in the process!
January/February I'll be finishing up my Spring Bag Collection to be on sale in my shop in late March. (Fingers crossed!)
Spring 2011 The designing process will commence for my new baby line of diaper bags and other super cute things, all for momma and baby! More details of this to come.
Summer 2011 Expand my studio/space. This is more of a personal goal. Mr. Larish & I live in a teeny, tiny apartment and I've been sprawling out my bags, fabrics and tools all over our living room. It's a pain to take everything out, put it all away and begin that process all over again when I'm in the mood to create! Therefore, we're looking for our first house! Really, we're starting to look now, but we hope to at least find one by summer/fall of 2011.
Summer/Fall 2011 I truly hope I can make it to some Festivals & Events in 2011. It would be an awesome way to really get out there! Who knows, maybe my sister will join me with her jewlery! ;)

Currently, I'm in the need of a second sewing machine. Bro needs a friend! It will also be so helpful to get a heavy duty machine so I can finally start to expand my designs and really begin to create a REAL collection that I know I'll adore! Can't wait!

So that's just half the year! I hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew! :) I have full confidence I will make everything happen and it all begins... This weekend!

I wish everyone a very Happy and safe New Year!

Christi - for Christmas

Yay! I can finally post images of the new shoulder bag I made for my sister, Christi! It was a Christmas gift, so I couldn't post images until now!

You may recognize this fabric. I LOVE this fabric and I want to use it all the time! :)

Check it!

Above: Pretty! The front of the bag here has two diagonal ruffles!

Up-close look at the fabric, ruffle & label.

Interior has a good-sized pocket and this fabric is a pale purple with a white pattern on it. Kind of hard to see here in this image.

Hope you enjoy Christi! :)

Merry Christmas to you all!!

Deep Red Quilted Shoulder Bag

It's getting colder and colder outside and Christmas is just around the corner! The perfect timing to bring in some holiday colors & beautiful quilted fabrics! Take a look at a Christmas gift below! :)

Above: LOVE this color red! It's deep and very holiday-worthy! :)

In my opinion, you really can't go wrong with quilted fabrics. They are some of the most unique & pretty fabrics out there! I've decided in this case to stick with a nice solid color, because the gal I'm gifting it to will love this color!

I absolutely adore this interior fabric. It's a light, creamy background with white leaves. The print is pretty faint & it reminds me of tiny holly leaves!

10" in length x 12" in width
Straps (2): 22" in length x 1" in width
Interior Pockets (2): 6" in length x 9.5" in width (each)

Cannot wait until Christmas! ;)

Cathy - Bag #3

Here is Cathy's third bag! I'm so proud of myself for getting all of these bags done so fast! :)
Check it:

Above: All pieces are cut!

Here all of the interfacing is on & I'm starting to pin everything to be sewn.

I have the exterior of the bag all put together & sewn, along with the straps. Getting ready to attach the magnetic snaps & sew the interior.

Voila! As you can see here, there are two 'rufflies' on the front of this bag. I've decided the ruffles/pleats are the tracy larish signature style! :)

Label! And a closer look at the ruffle.

Interior. This bag has two big interior pockets.

Off to start on her fourth bag!! Almost done :)

As previously mentioned, all bag details will be wrapped up in the final post for Cathy's "collection". ;)

Super Cute Crossbody Bag

Finished Helen's daughter's cute little crossbody bag! Can't wait for you to see it! :) I'll have you know, I'll be making one of these for myself...

Above: Getting ready to start making the bow for the front of the bag.

Ta daaa!

Now I'm attaching the bow to the outside of the bag and getting ready to sew the bag with the tracy larish label.

Looks just like the picture I drew for Helen to see what I was planning! Right, Helen? ;)

Time to begin the interior of the bag. She'll have 2 interior pockets. The smaller one you see in front will fit cards, cash & her license. The bigger one behind it will fit her cell, lipgloss or any other item she may want in there!

Here I had just sewn the strap. Next, as you can see, I'll be sewing along the top of the bag to make this complete! That was pretty difficult I might add. My Bro (my machine) has an "arm" which allows me to sew around enclosed, circular things.. such as, sewing sleeves on a sweater or sewing the openings to all my bags. The opening of this bag, however, did not fit over the arm of Bro... so it was really rough trying to sew this. Came out looking great though!

Close up shot! Just gorgeous!

Label ;)

Look at this interior.. it's perfection! :)

Bag Details:
6.5" in length x 6" in width
Strap: 52" in length x .75" in width
Interior Pockets (2): 1st- 4.75" in length x 5" in width
2nd- 3.25" in length x 4" in width
Magnetic snap enclosure.

Hope Jayda loves it Helen! :)

Now it's back to work for me! Hope the weekend is treating everyone well so far!

Cathy - Bag #2

Just finished Cathy's second shoulder bag! I personally wish this was mine... but I must be good! ;) I've been working very hard on these bags. Hope you love it! Take a look!

Above: Here I have everything pressed & the interfacing is set.

Everything is pinned up!

Here, all pieces that were pinned in the prior image, is now sewn. We have the two straps, the exterior of the main part of the bag and the interior pocket. The little flap that you see hanging out from the bottom of the exterior of the bag, will be the little ruffle for some added cuteness! :)

The interior of the bag is now sewn, interior pocket in place and the magnetic snaps are attached.

Here she is! Ain't she a beauty? I absolutely love this fabric! When I saw it, I knew this had to be for one of Cathy's bags!

A quick glimpse of the interior of the shoulder bag. This shade of pale green goes wonderfully with the bits & pieces of green seen in the exterior fabric. Love it!

Closer look at the tracy larish label and the cute little ruffle!

I truly adore this bag! I hope whoever Cathy gives this to, adores it as much as I do! :)

Well, back to it! Starting on her 3rd shoulder bag tomorrow! Making all this cuteness makes me so happy and appreciative of all who have supported me & my brand. Thank you again!
