Nursery {Pt One}

Hello there everyone! It's been awhile, but it feels great to be unpacked and finally have cable/internet up at our new place! The aparment is not quite 100% decorated yet, so when that happens I'll share more photos. In the meantime, here are just a couple photos of the crib we just put together and the bassinet for our itty bitty! :)

It was important for us to purchase a convertible crib so that it grows with him. (Nice money saving option.)

And here is his little "bassinet" that we will be using in our room for the early days! So excited!

Baby shower is this Sunday so I will have plenty more to share with you! Can't wait to see everyone! :)

Our New Place {Master/ Itty Bitty}

So it's been a few days since I've posted photos of the update on our new place. Here's a look at the master bedroom & my itty bittys room with just minor touch ups needed! :)

The mister all tired out from working so hard all day. Here, he just finished basecoating our lil babys room! :)

Aaand here's the paint we chose for the itty bitty! :) It is finished now, but at this point the mister had to go back & do the framing by the ceiling & stuff.

Now the painting is all done and we are currently moving as we speak! So the next update you'll see is the finished look with everything put away & organized. This might take awhile...

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

DIY // Light Bulb Vase

Check out this sweet little DIY project I found over at the Free People blog! They're flower vases made out of light bulbs & they are so simple to make! I will definitely be making some of these for our new place. However, we only use the white/frosted bulbs.. I guess I'll have to try out the clear ones! They would look adorable hanging in a window or something!

I love how she added the little fabric piece to the metal part! Super cute addition! Remember, you are working with glass so be careful! I'll post photos of mine as soon as I'm finished!

Oh, & I apologize for lagging a little bit with posts. Moving can be quite stressful & also, my laptop is going crazy. Long story.. but the mister is on it! Will post photos of finished new place soon!! :)

Our New Place {Update}

Here's a little update on our new place. As I was taking some photos of our progress, I realized I never took a picture of our entry way! Here it is...

Livingroom has the basecoat on!

Looking good! :)

Kitchen is complete with basecoat & two topcoats. Yes, it is white. That wasn't our decision. Pure white + Husband + where he works = no good. I'll just have to be extra OCD. :)

(And there's the mister cleaning up)

A look at the other side of the kitchen. Even the 1970s stove incase you cared. :)

The master bedroom & bathroom are complete, I will follow up with photos later today!

Everything really seems to be coming together! So psyched to get this finished. We have about 1 week left to finish all of the painting (including trims/molding), pack up the kitchen, clean up the apartment we're in now & move to our new little home. Um, it can be done... right?! :)

Hope your weekend is enjoyable!

26 Weeks & Counting...

It's amazing how this...

Turns into this...

<3

We cannot even begin to describe how we're feeling with it being about 3 months away until this little boys' arrival! We're so eager to welcome him into our lives and start our little family! These past 26 weeks have flown by so fast it's unreal. It just goes to show he'll be here sooner than you know it!

To have to go through infertility treatments, your mind is made up that it's never going to happen. We went through such an emotional rollercoaster. Will it? Won't it? When? Why? It's difficult to stay 100% positive when you go through something like this. The most frustrating thing for us was the fact that we, as a couple, were classified as having an "unidentified infertility". Meaning, there was nothing wrong with either of us. Just... nothing. All we could ask ourselves is 'then why isn't this happening?' It was just a matter of waiting... and waiting... and waiting. Then one day you hear a voice say 'it's positive' and you're so taken back by it that you don't even believe it at first. But then it sinks in. I remember pacing back and forth, up and down our hallway for what seemed like 10 hours until my hubby got home from work! I couldn't sit still! He finally got home, I told him and we hugged and held on tight for what felt like an hour! I will always remember that moment.

One will never truly understand how it is to have this little being inside of you growing and to encounter all of these changes and feelings. My husband & I instantly fell in love with our little boy since the first sonogram when he was just a teeny tiny speck. Seeing him change from a speck into a tiny human and feeling him kicking and punching just makes it real.

I can honestly say we have never been more ready for anything in our lives. And we both thank God for giving us this chance.

Reminiscing {TLB 2010} // Big News

Today I was going through all of my custom order handmade bags and started reminiscing! I thoroughly enjoyed designing & sewing all these little pretties for you! Hopefully you've gotten much use out of your bag and it's treating you well! Another big thanks to all of you who have supported me & my brand! :)

Reminisce with me, won't you?!

This is the bag my best gal pal Mandy won in a contest.

This was the first bag I have ever made. Still keeping it forever though! :)

One of my faves!

Hands down... my ultimate favorite bag! I've had many requests to make more.

First tiny handbag I made for a little bitty girl.

<3

Second handbag I made for my little niece.

First checkbook cover!

Back in January I was forced to cut-off my custom made bags because I had so many orders going, it was hard for me to keep up with just me alone! So I took a little bit of a break to catch up and complete every order. Since then I've been working on some designs and hope to get back into making my bags just for you! (I've also grown quite a belly since I've made my last bag!) So the big news is... starting August 15th I will be taking custom orders again! This time all orders will be processed through my Etsy shop. My shop will also be updated come August once we're settled in our new place! I'm excited and eager to get started. Moving & unpacking first would probably be helpfuly though. ;)

Thank you for spending time with me remembering some custom bags I've made!! Keep posted here or at the TLB facebook page (located at the upper right hand corner of my blog) for more information! Can't wait for new challenges to come my way! :)

My Boys

Love my boys! {Can't wait for my third lil boy!}

Yesterday the hubby took me out to dinner for my birthday and we had a really nice time! Followed by some much needed R&R. We've been packing like crazy & getting things organized for moving in a week & a half. Plus, in this ridiculous humidity it's near impossible to move around. It's especially tough when you have an itty bitty in your belly! Unfortunately, the weather isn't supposed to get better the rest of the week. So we'll see how things pan out for us. Luckily, the hubby got an air condtioner... we just need to hook it up.. stat! :)

Update // Upcoming Projects

Here's a quick look at where we're at with our new place. My dad started painting the basecoat. Already looks 10 times better than that blood red they had going on there. I couldn't stay for too long because the Kilz smelled horrid & I don't want to harm my itty bitty. I just snuck in real quick to measure windows for curtains & snap a couple photos of the progress. I'd say for our first day (or the fam's first day as the case were...), it's coming along quite nicely! The Mister & I truly appreciate all the help we're getting from my parents and my sister! I'm on vacation, but can't be around all the toxins floating around and the mister works all day! So thank you to my fam for helping us out!! :)

Master bedroom all "basecoated-up"!

Bathroom looks 10 times better too! Just a little tidbit of information here... if you have a teeny tiny bathroom & no window, such as I... never ever paint the walls a dark color. Dark colors in general make things seem smaller. Choose a light, airy color to brighten & open the room up a bit! No sense in closing yourself in an already tiny space.

Christi & dad working furiously to basecoat the blood red out of the kitchen! Christi even came in her work clothes to help out! ha

Here's an upcoming project I'll be working on. It's so simple & easy! This really old roll-away stool belongs to the mister. The top opens up and he used it as a "computer parts holder" until he couldn't fit anything else in there! Because we're moving, A LOT of compromising has to be dealt with amongst eachother. In other words, we're trying to condense our shinanigans into stuff we need or stuff we really will use on a regular basis. At the same time, it is hard to let go of something you've had for a long time. So we decided compromising to make us both happy is the way to go. I asked if he wanted to keep this thing and he said yes. I asked where we would put it and he answered in the living room. Ok. Fine. But have you noticed it's kind of an eye sore? Not too pretty. So I suggested if he lets me revamp this baby, we'll keep it. He agreed!

So today I went out to Joann's and picked up some canvas & spray paint. Although someone else will have to spray paint it for me, I am eager to get this done! I'll post the finished product as soon as it's done! :)

In other news, I'm going to be making all the curtains for our new place! Here's a look at the fabric I've selected for our kitchen! I've had this new obsession with vintage pyrex bowls so I used all the colors of my bowls as inspiration for the colors in my curtains. Plus I like the little birdies!

Hope you're enjoying your Monday! The mister is taking me out on a date for my birthday tonight!
