Hey there! Just sharing some images of Christi's finished shoulder bag!! It's a tad bigger than we originally planned, but the fabric was a bit pricey. So I figured you may as well get your moneys worth!
I know, I'm so thoughtful... :)
Lots of images below!!
Above: Straps & pocket are sewn. After that, I pinned everything together to start sewing the rest!
This is the inside of the bag. The bottom panel & pocket are attached to the main bag. Pretty interior, right?
Voila! Fini! N'est-ce pas mignon?
Yes, I'm french all of the sudden.
Meaning: There! Finished! Isn't this cute? :)
Flat view of the bag!
An image to showthe bottom panel of the bag.
My signature label, of course.. ;)
Interior! The fabric of this bag is actually just one fabric. Most quilted fabrics have an "exterior" & and "interior", but they are attached. Because of this, to prevent ugly-looking seams on the inside of the bag, I used black stain ribbon to make the seam. At first, I was a little worried about how it would look. But after I did it, it actually looks really nice!! A ton better than if I just left it as-is.
Closer look. You can see the ribbon along the bottom panel here.
Bag Details:
10" in length x 14 7/8" in width x 4.5" in width (taken from bottom panel)
Straps (2): 28.5" in length x 1" in width
Inside pocket: 5.25" in length x 8" in width
No enclosure for this bag.
Yay!! Happy to finally be done! & I'm sure Christi is too! :) Hope you enjoyed this bag! There are many more to come!
Next, on to my cousins bag!
Have a great weekend!
