Ashley (pt 1 - Cut/Pinned)

Hello again! Here's a quick look at how Ashley's shoulder bag is coming along!! I was definitely planning on starting the sewing process, but I am sad to inform that it is Monday Night Football. Enough said. :) So, I did not have the privilege of my sewing area tonight. Tomorrow though, is Tuesday. ha!

Above: Everything is cut!!

I attached all of the interfacing and I have everything pinned and ready to sew tomorrow! :)

More images to come!

Sandy (Shoulder Bag)

I must say... I'm on a roll today! I finished Sandy's bag in like 2 hours! This is a shoulder bag that is fairly small & simple. I love it!

Possibly a bit too small for me, because I like big bags.. but it's still very adorable! :)

Check it out:

Above: Here I have all of the pieces cut and ready to press and apply the interfacing!

All the interfacing is attached! I have both straps sewn, the exterior of the bag sewn, the pocket sewn & the pocket sewn to the interior fabric and the magnetic snaps in place! :)

Pretty. I love the fabric!

Small glimpse of the interior of the bag.

Bag Details:
7.5" in length x 10.5" in width
Straps (2): 18.5" in length x 1" in width
Interior Pocket: 5.25" in length x 7.5" in width
Magnetic Snap enclosure.

Next is Ashley! Hers' is all cut, the sewing begins tomorrow! Then I must go shopping tomorrow for the next 5 bags! :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I know I did! I feel very accomplished! ;)

Thank you to Julie who has been so kind & patient with me while I took in some more hours at work & while I was sick!! :) I really appreciate it! Good news is, this baby will be shipped out early this week!

Sabres VS Caps

Hello! I just wanted to share some pics from Saturday's Sabres VS Caps game!! Especially since Facebook won't let me upload pics anymore! This was such an amazing game. It was there first win at a home game so far this season.

I guess I'm their good luck charm! ;)

So here are the Buffalo Sabres! ..Or I should say.. Ryan Miller.. ha!

Above: Warming up! Of course the Sabres are all the way on the other side.

# 8: Ovechkin. Ain't such a tough guy anymore, huh?!?!? :)

Again. I don't know why the Mr. wanted a picture of his ugliness!

It's starting!!

Sabretooth, yo.

!!!!!!!

Miller & Meyers

;) Ha!

I hate this dudes head! Miller was pretty lonely in the 2nd Period.

I know, this is becoming a little obsessive. :)

Sabretooth again! Trying to steal a man's woman!

My camera takes way too long to take pictures haha! Otherwise, this would've been a great shot!!

Exhibit A.

Chillin' during commercial break, while the shovelers scoop up the excess ice!

Shovelers? whatever.

Exhibit B.

I would give anything to be that girl with the shovel. :)

OK, it's time for my real Mr. <3 <3 Love you hunny! :D

Let's see: Meyers, Ennis, maybe Kaletta?(I can't see!), Gaustad (I call him Goooostod), Mccormick (or Mr. Spice as I like to call him), Hecht, Vanek, Connolly & either Miller or Lalime. I'm thinkin Lalime.
After they won in OT 3-2!! Thanks to Vanek! And the game-winning goal was scored right in front of us!! It was great! Not to mention the chick next to me was a Caps fan & I wanted to punch her the whole game. :D

Hope you enjoyed my little pics here. Probably not as much as I do, but... :)

Can't wait to go to more games!

Have a good night everyone :)

Julie (pt 1 continued)

Hey guys! I'm terribly sorry for the lack in posting recently. I've been super busy! For the past 5-6 days, I've been on a "mini vacation". And right before that, I worked a few extra hours and picked up another shift at work so I literally had no free time. PLUS, for the first few days of my "vacation" I was really sick! But here I am! All better and ready to go again!

For some strange reason, my camera has been acting up and is doing weird things with my pics. So it just so happens that the pic below is actually from last week and was already on my computer. It won't let me upload anything. I'm thinking it may be my computer! Until I get this figured out, this is all you get unfortunately! It may not be a terrible idea if I happen to get a camera for Christmas! (wink, wink. nudge, nudge. to the hubby.) ;)

So here I have everything cut out!

After that, I pressed all the pieces again, attached all of the interfacing to the wrong sides of all exterior pieces and pinned everything together.
I also starting sewing all the pockets, the strap and the bag flap.
All there's left to do now, is to sew the main part of the bag together, attach the pockets and strap... then we're good to go!! :)

Hopefully I'll get everything panned out by the time Julie's bag is done!

Have a wonderful evening all!

Julie (pt 1 - Materials/Ext. Fabric)

Hey there!! Decided to show off some starter images of my cousin's bag!! After a lot of back & forth & trying to find the right fabric, we've finally got it! This bag is going to be a medium-sized crossbody bag!

It's funny... I get so excited to make bags, that whenever I begin the pressing & cutting process, I think to myself, 'Is it done yet?' I just get so hyped up & can't wait until it's finished & into the arms of the owner! Ha!

Ok, I guess you can call it impatience... afterall, it is my middle name. But this is impatience in a very good way, I promise! :)

Above: The materials! We e-mailed back & forth while I got all of the information & details of the bag she wants (she lives in Texas). Then, she picked out the exterior fabric online & I got the rest of the materials in town. As you can see, there are two different shades of brown in the exterior fabric (technically 3 if you count the light tan/khaki color). So while I was picking out the interior fabric for the lining, I decided to go with the medium, more rich brown. I tend to pick the lining color based on what color there is less of in the exterior fabric. (Does that make sense?) This way, it really makes that color POP! It's important to not go all cliche here. I didn't want to go with the black (which is actually the color that is the most sparce), because that would've been way too dark & dramatic. We are drama-free here people! :)

This is just a little snipit of the designing & measurement process. I usually change measurements & the placement of things about 100 times before I'm done. This is because I have to account for every little piece I'll be using; everything has to equal out! I'll have to post an image of my book now, so you can see what it looks like! I also color-code everything as I finish that task. A wee bit freaky, I suppose. :)

Here, all of the exterior pieces are cut!
Clockwise starting from upper left: Main body of the bag, exterior/interior pockets, strap, bag flap enclosure & bottom panel.

Off to do more work! :) More images real soon!

Have a wonderful weekend! Have fun for me, because I'm working aaallll weekend! ..yaayy.. ;)
