This weekend was actually pretty productive for me & yet, pretty relaxing. Saturday I got a lot of spring cleaning done. I am no where near finished, but at least it was a start! I'm really motivated to get rid of stuff we don't need or use. For a small space, we have a lot of shenanigans going on here & not nearly enough storage. Trying to figure out what's important to keep & get rid of is harder than I anticipated. Not to mention, going through some of Maxx's clothes that are now too small for him, is tough for me. Some basic things like onesies, play clothes, or all that randomness, I don't mind donating or giving away to future mommas, but a lot of his nicer clothes I don't want to give up. I just can't! Mainly for sentimental reasons, of course, but also for when we have another kiddo & if it's a boy... then why buy everything all over again!? Right? At least that's what I'm telling myself to make it ok.... Someone please tell me I'm not crazy! :)
Sunday was our relaxing day. We did a lot of running around, but somehow it was relaxing...... Anyway, we took Maxx to a pet store & stared at the fishys for a while, watched a bunny eat & saw the gerbils play & run around. (We have enough pets. We were just looking!) We really cannot wait until we can take Maxx to visit the zoo this spring/summer. I think we're going to try & take him to the Aquarium in Niagara Falls at some point over the next few weeks! I know he's going to have so much fun!
We also ran to like 5 other stores. We stopped at Target & picked up a cute little t-shirt & sunnies for little man. Hubby & I are slightly jealous of how great these sunglasses are! (Pics will come soon!)
1,2,3// So Maxx had a few crazy hair days over the weekend. Obviously. More proof that we need to trim it up a bit. However, I think the hub & I have decided to maybe let it grow a tad. We want to see if it will start curling a little. Both the hub & myself have naturally curly/wavy hair, so it would only make sense that Maxx's would do the same. Who knows though. Watch- he'll have pin-straight, silky, flowy hair that I would somehow envy.
4// Saturday afternoon after we ate lunch, I whipped out the ol' finger paints. Maxxim loooves to paint. He also loves to try & sneak his itty bitty finger tips to his mouth.. but momma has cat-like reflexes that won't let that happen. Is it non-toxic paint? Duh. But do I want him to eat it? Not so much. We made a nice little bunch of pictures. Even a rainbow for the St. Patty's Day spirit!
5,6// Sunday morning we all got up & made St. Patrick's Day pancakes with green food coloring. We haven't had pancakes in quite a while, so it was nice to switch it up a bit.
7// Does this boy love his daddy, or what!? Always wearing daddy's hats around the house. Meanwhile, he basically hates wearing his hats. Funny boy.
8// Can I tell you just how lone I've wanted to mohawk Maxx's hair?? -Literally ever since he's been born. It's true. Last week I picked up some kiddo hair balm & I really wanted to try it out. :)
How was your St Patty's Day weekend??

DeleteOk. I can't technically say Maxx is the cutest that there ever was, since Keller is my main man. But boy! He sure is one handsome stud! :) And I got the spring cleaning bug too over here...so funny. Thanks for linking up as always, Tracy!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary Beth! Keller is quite the cutie himself! :)
